Hardwood Box Sash Windows

Manufactured from kiln dried West African Sapele Mahogany for painted and dark stained finishes or from kiln dried West African Adigbo for light oak and similar natural finishes. Double glazed sealed units, solid brass furniture and full draught sealing are all supplied as standard.

We are often asked questions about our Spiral Balance alternative to the traditional lead weight and pulley system. The spiral balances are manufactured by Unique Balance of Birmingham and incorporate a pre-tensioned steel spring and spiral balance. In addition to our own Warranty, Unique also give a 10 year Guarantee direct to you, the purchaser. Should it ever be necessary, the balances are easy to replace. They are mainly used in new-build to save having to create the box rebate and to reinstate original converted box sashes where the box rebate has been bricked up and where it is necessary or desirable to be able to hinge or tilt the sashes for cleaning, fire escape or furniture access.

All hardwood products are available in a natural or varnished finish as well as our standard white finish or any other RAL Colour Chart Number painted finish.
