The Counterfeit Sash window is a top
opener over fixed pane, but with similar traditional sections, as would be supplied
with a Spiral Balanced window.
The bottom section has a dummy sash (fixed),
the top opens outward on stainless steel friction stays and is secured by a brass
locking casement fastener.
